Yuvi Art – Bio

The graffiti artist Yuvi, also known in the world as Avant-Garde Pop Art par excellence, has a talent for communication related to his love of color, his positive personality and his warm attitude to the people around him.

Exposure to more diverse cultures, aesthetic styles and artistic forms of expression allowed him to take his art to new and exciting levels and he was inspired by such American icons as Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and the elusive and controversial British artist Banksy.

The innovative contemporary Yuvi considered to be the pioneer of the new movement Pop Art  (None of his paintings are flat).

Although he occasionally uses stencils, he paints on them with paint which creates a striking layered texture. Yuvi takes Andy Warhol a step further. His characters and their settings are formed from paint, printed paper cuttings, layers of old newspaper clippings, sketches, silk screen prints, various glues, inks, spray paints, sand, glass fragments and more.

He often uses his bare hands which means he has an intense physical relationship with each piece he creates; In some of Yuvi’s paintings, he takes another layer of canvas and tears and scrapes and this creates a dimension with additional depth that he paints within. The finished composition is intensely tactile and the viewer is invited to feel the work with his own hands.

In his free time, Yuvi is also a DJ. Watching Yuvi draw is an attraction. Yuvi puts on noisy house-deep music and dances while painting as he splashes paint on the canvas and this is reflected in the vibrations in his paintings and those who know Yuvi can immediately notice that this is his good vibe!

Today, his works are valued and represented in galleries around the world in places as UK, USA, Milan, China, Dubai and Costa Rica.
